Is Annie Lennox HIV positive? It was probably a question bigger than who got voted off from American Idol on April 21. Well, Of course she is not! It is just a black T-shirt with a bold fashion statement bearing a humanitarian message that she wore at “Idol Gives Back’ this year. The British pop star wore a black T-shirt with the words HIV Positive inscribed on it as she performed remotely in the fund-raising show.

It was a part of a current campaign to remove the stigma from people diagnosed with HIV positive and to see that they can get the treatment they need. Lennox was to perform live at the show but the Iceland Volcano eruption postponed her plans.

April 21 was one of the most memorable nights for ‘American Idol’ as American Idol top 7 performed at “Idol Gives Back’ – a fund-raising show that has raised $140 million dollars. The money will be spent in noble causes. A good concept indeed!

The show opened with a pre-taped recording of President Barak Obama and First Lady. The President said “American Idol is about changing lives. Thank you for your continued generosity as part of Idol gives back. Since its inception American Idol Gives Back has been responsible for raising $140 million dollars. They have used that money to fight malaria in Africa, and to provide food and health care here at home. Every dollar makes a difference. Thanks for American Idol for setting a great example, and thank you for your generosity, and as Randy Jackson would say,” You’re all my dawgs.”

It was a wonderful ‘American idol’ show and ‘Idol Gives Back’ Show, but sadly, one of the contestants had to go home and say good bye to the famous talent show.

So who got voted off American Idol April 21 … It is Tim Urban!
