“Once upon a time there was a small sleepy town with TV antenna on every rooftop. The people there were very unhappy and bored as they hardly received quality entertainment….” – sounds like a bad fairytale. Doesn’t it? Well, with the TV antennas disappearing fast from the rooftops, it seems to be a thing from bygone era. At present people receive their TV signals through satellite.
When compared to our previous generation, we are having a great many options when it comes to TV entertainment. We receive optimum quality picture and sound from satellite TV and cable and that exactly is the reason behind the rising demand of cable and satellite TV entertainment across the nation.
Though with cable TV you can get access to an extensive list of channels, there are only a select few channels that you actually watch. What’s the point in paying for something that you are not going to watch? With the nickel and dime pricing policy of satellite TV you can actually pick and choose your favorite channels and customize your TV entertainment – something that you can never do in cable.
Want to watch that amazing movie that will be broadcasted in cable tomorrow? What if you have a date at that time? With cable TV at home you will not get a chance to record the movie. However, if you had satellite TV at your home, you would have opted for the DVR and recorded the movie to watch it at your convenience. But alas, your cable TV gives you no such advantages. The signal strength of satellite TV is better than cable TV. You can have a great time enjoying satellite TV entertainment.
Pocket pinch is also something you must think about. In you have three on more TV sets at home then you may find cable TV a cheaper option as a single cable connection can feed all the sets. But if you have one or two sets then satellite TV is going to be the best choice for you.
Think TV entertainment – think HD. High definition is the latest addition in TV entertainment. Cable TV lags far behind in this form of entertainment. They have only a few HD channels when it comes to HD entertainment. On the other hand you can get over 160 HD channels from the top satellite TV providers.
For all these reason more and more people are finding satellite TV a logical choice when compared to cable TV. Do you feel the same way? Share your opinion with us in the comment section.
