Well Seems so! Sources on the production side of “American Idol” has said that the immensely popular satellite TV musical reality show has Jennifer Lopez signed, sealed and delivered for the Season 10 judges’ table!!! Hooray! That means we will be able to see JLo for the rest of the season on Fox on DISH Network. JLo fans, rejoice!

In case you are wondering what happened to Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler who was the producers’ first choice for the new male judge, let us tell you that it is still in negotiations.

If this source is authentic then it should mean that an announcement is in the air FOX’s Summer Press Tour executive panel! Well, I am excited, aren’t you?

At this point Tyler still remains first choice for the new male judge among the producers. However, if a deal cannot be reached then we might be able to see last season’s popular ‘American Idol’ mentor Harry Connick Jr. in the Judges’ panel.

In the previous week the sources that are close to ‘American Idol’ said that no deals were signed, and that the judges’ panel for the iconic satellite TV series is not set. They have also said that there will be no announcement in the Summer Press Tour of FOX. However, the official FOX line is still “no comment.”

The speculative judges’ panel has become the top priority ‘American Idol’ story ever Ellen DeGeneres has announced that she is leaving the show along with Simon Cowell who departed back in May to focus more on the U.S. version of ‘The X Factor.’ There are some rumors that Kara DioGuardi will also be out this season and only Randy Jackson will return to judges’ panel again. It will be very interesting to see a whole new judges’ panel on American Idol Season 10!

So, who is the top singing sensation on America today? Who has been crowned as the ‘American Idol’ this season? Guess what? Its none other than Lee DeWyze, the contestant from Chicago. Simon Cowell was right and so were we! (Yeah, that was the first thing that came to my mind while watching the show on DISH HD)

The season finale of ‘American Idol’ this year was an exciting one (what’s new in that? Finale of American Idol has always been spectacular). It was boradcasted to millions of viewers across the country through popular DISH Network channel Fox. It was one of the most memorable TV events. The star strutted evening was graced with performances by the bee gee’s, Christina Augilera, Hall and Oates, Alanis Morrisette, Carrie Underwood, Bret Michaels, Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson, and Chicago.

There were great performances by Janet Jackson as well as by Bret Michaels who performed ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn’ with the Third Place finisher Casey James. Bret was a great surprise for all of us. The ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ winner Poison rocker delivered a mind blowing performance as well. People just loved those electrifying performances by these well known stars from the world of music.

But that’s not all! The show began with a bang with the The Top-12 performing “School’s Out.” all in school outfits with Alice Cooper. Wait, really? Alice Cooper on ‘American Idol’? Yes, you heard it right! He gave an appearance on the Nation’s biggest singing competition. Former Idol winner Chris Allen also performed in the show.

The finale night of the satellite TV singing competition was an emotional night too. When Lee was announced as the winner he was on the verge of tears and was completely stunned. He then gathered himself and hugged Crystal Bowersox, the runner up! Lee also sang his victory song ‘Beautiful Day’ on stage.

This was a sad day for the Bowersox fans. She is just so wonderful. This is not the last time we are seeing her of course! Both Crystal and Lee will release their records in the market within a short span of time. Now cheer up!

Some will call the finale the strangest finale of all times, and they are very right (though for a very different reason)! The finale indeed is like no other finale as it will be the last finale for Simon Cowell. (Can you imagine ‘American Idol’ without him? Well, I cannot.)

The Idol stage paid a tribute to Simon with a pre-recorded tape of the Simon Cowell years and him most famous insults. Paula Abdul also gave a speech in this occasion. She then called simon on stage. An emotional Cowell said, “I didn’t think I was going to be this emotional.” He also added, “The truth is, everyone asks who’s going to replace me as the next judge,” he told the audience. “The truth is, you guys are the judges of this show, and you’ve done an incredible job over the years.”

That is something very special when coming from Cowell’s mouth. It was a great moment for millions of DISH Network satellite TV viewers who has been watching the show. We will be missing you terribly the next season Simon!

Talking about the next season, there will be some changes in the airing schedule of American Idol in Fall. The result episode will be cut down to a half hour schedule. Thanks God! That means, we do not have to wait for an hour just to know who got voted off from the show. It will be also interesting to see how ‘American Idol’ manages to do without Simon Cowell. Remember we told you that Nicole Scherzinger will be the winner of the popular satellite TV reality show ‘Dancing with the Stars’? Our prediction is bang on target! It is Nicole indeed. She is the winner of DWTS season 10 and she totally deserves it! I mean, who has that fluid and saucy dance moves like her? Who else can dance to the groove the way she does it? She is just so marvelous on stage. For the last few days we were watching the PussyCat Doll on the DISH HD channel ABC with awe and amazement…

It looks like a good year for Nicole. She won the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ crown this year and has also landed a new single ‘ NoBody Can Change Me’. Scherzinger said her single, “is an empowering [and uplifting] song. In short, the single reminds you to know who you are and own who you are!” Stay this way Nicole, we love you the way you are!

Let us hear what she has to say about the popular satellite TV show, said that DWTS has done quite a bit to her body,”My shins are torn up and my legs look wretched but I feel awesome, I’ve got a great spirit and I’m really excited.” Nicole also told that she was, “surprised because she never thought [she] could do ballroom dancing before so it’s nice to be able to jump into something that’s really scary and still be able to surprise yourself.”

We totally agree with you girl!

Let’s not forget the Dancing pro partner of Nicole – Derek Hough, who is now a two times winner of the title (That’s a great achievement indeed!). “Everybody’s been amazing, I’m so happy,” is what the reaction of Derek was after winning. Nicole’s reaction? She just screamed in glee! (Yeah, it was a million dollar moment on DISH Network)

Throughout the DWTS season 10 it was likely to be an Evan vs. Nicole finale and that was it. Erin finished third and Evan became a close second. A gold medalist Olympian figure skater, Lysacek took the defeat sportingly and said, “It’s been such a blast. We were totally satisfied with everything we gave in these last few weeks.” he also added. “And we’re so proud of Nicole and Derek. They worked so hard and they deserve it.” That’s very nice of you Evan!

What the third place winner Erin has to say about the show? “I came here under really crummy circumstances, and I just wanted to get my life together and my smile back,” Andrews said to host Tom Bergeron. “I just wanted to be myself again … and you guys have been amazing and my family – and this one [Maksim] — has just put my life back together.”

All the three finalists performed Argentine Tango on the satellite TV reality show as their favorite dance and got scores from the judges that were added to their marks. And guess what Nicole’s total score was? It’s a whopping 115-108. No wonder Carrie Ann Inaba said “You guys are truly artistry in motion,” to Nicole and Derek. Hats off to you once again!

All the eliminated contestants including Buzz Aldrin to Pam Anderson — returned to dance again. (However, Chad Ochocinco had to sit out due to a football injury.) ‘The Bachelor’ star Jake Pavelka waltzed with his fiancé Vienna Girardi, while reality TV mom Kate Gosselin performed her infamous ‘Paparazzi’ dance (!!!).

The former champions of DWTS also graced the audience with their presence. The champions included Kelly Monaco (winner of season 1); Apolo Anton Ohno (winner of season 4); Kristi Yamaguchi (winner of season 6); and Shawn Johnson (winner of season 8). It was a star studded bedazzling night! After all, it’s the finale of ‘Dancing with the Stars’.

The final two of ‘American Idol’ has finally been declared! And it is just what we have expected- A Dewyze –Bowersox final!!! What a power-packed final it will be! We all will be watching Fox on DISH Network on Wednesday to see who wins the epic battle of musical talent this season.

Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox were the two most talented contestants in satellite TV singing reality competition ‘American Idol’ this year. They have given some mind blowing performances this season and have received loads of appreciation from the judges and the DISH TV viewers alike.

On May 19, we have listened to some celebrity performances by Travis Garland (of Perez Hilton fame) and Justin Beiber. Among these two performances I liked Beiber’s performance the most. (Sorry Perez! But Travis comes nowhere near Justin Timberlake) However, it was the excitement to find out the final two was far more gripping than these two performances.

In the performance night this week Crystal wowed the judges with her amazing performance of ‘Come to My Window’. In the judges choice round she was asked to sing ‘it’s Maybe I’m Amazed’ by Paul McCartney and she did a complete justice to the song. She has also received a standing ovation from the judges for the same.

Lee picked up Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd and gave a great performance. However, his best performance was in judges’ choice round where he gave an outstanding performance of ‘Hallelujah’ by Leonard Cohen. What a performance it was!

These performances probably put the final seal on the Dewyze –Bowersox finale on popular satellite TV show ‘American Idol’. It looks like nothing could come in the way of a DeWyze-Bowersox finale. Casey James had little option but to sing ‘Okay, It’s Alright With Me…’ (It’s the song he chose for the performance night, remember?)

Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze, Michael Lynche and Casey James- all four will be going home this week. No, ‘American Idol’ is not over yet! It’s just that ‘American Idol’ Top 3 will be depicted in their home town in May 18 episode. What will happen to the one who will not make it to the top 3? Well, he too will have to go home and will not come back to the ‘American Idol’ Stage this year!

And who is it? Who got voted off from the ‘American Idol’ Stage on May 12? Sadly, it’s Big Mike- Michael Lynche. We will not be able to see him in the ‘American Idol’ Stage anymore! So there remains ‘American Idol’ Top 3! Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze and Casey James!

The performance night this week was a great one. Songs from cinema was the theme this week and the great Jamie Foxx was the mentor of the ‘American Idol’ Top 4. Under his mentoring, the top four performed some amazing songs from different movies. They also performed duets. Let us have a look at the performances:

• Casey James and Michael Lynche: ‘Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman’ from ‘Don Juan DeMarco’
• Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze: ‘Falling Slowly’ from ‘Once’
• Casey James: ‘Mrs. Robinson’ from ‘The Graduate’
• Crystal Bowersox: ‘I’m Alright’ from ‘Caddyashack’
• Lee DeWyze: ‘Kiss from a Rose’ from ‘Batman Forever’
• Michael Lynche: ‘Will You Be There’ from ‘Free Willy’

Lee’s solo performance was not very satisfactory. However, his duet with Crystal wowed the judges and the viewers alike. The performance night resulted into 37 million votes from across the nation and they decided the top 3 contestants.

On the result night on May 12, the ambiance was electrifying. Fantasia, a former ‘American Idol’ from Season 6 gave a great performance. Next to her Chris Daughtry performed his new Song “September”. It was ammaaazing! Daughtry was also a finalist on ‘American Idol’ Season 5. However, he was eliminated after making it to the Top 4. The last performance on the satellite TV show was by the legendary singer Bon Jovi. They performed “Superman Tonight”.

Then, there was the saddest time of the show. At this stage of the competition, saying goodbye to your favorite contestants is very painful. Sadly, that is what we had to say to Big Mike this week. After hearing his elimination, everyone gave him a hug including Simon Cowell. Simon too is one important part of the show that we will not be able to see at the end of the season this year. We will miss you more than anyone!

But we still have a couple of weeks in hand before the result of this year’s American Idol will be announced, till then; it is going to be an exciting event. Between Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox, we all know that one of these two is going to emerge as a winner in this season of ‘American Idol’. It’s just a matter of two more weeks! So keep  your  eyes on  Fox channel  on DISH Network  tonight to  know who gets  voted off  on ‘American  Idol’ this week.

With just four remaining, the competition got tougher than ever! Now it all depends on how things continue to take place in the weeks ahead. One poor performance can turn out to be the last performance of any contestant at this stage.

Some of the viewers were looking forward to see Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox perform together  and their wish was granted tonight!  The two performed ‘Falling Slowly’ from ‘Once’ soundtrack and man! That was an awesome performance! The two came to stage with their guitar and their chemistry was on! Both the viewers as well as the judges loved it!

Prior to that performance, Crystal sang her solo – ‘I am Alright’ from the movie ‘Caddyshack’ and it was a lovely performance. Lee, on the other hand, bombed it with ‘A Kiss From The Rose’ from the ‘Batman Forever’ soundtrack. It just went out of track and there was lack of emotion. But the two performed an excellent duet and earned critical acclaim from the judges. This performance might just save Lee this week.

So, who is going home tonight from this satellite TV music reality show? Any guesses?

Have you watched Lady Gaga’s performance on ‘American Idol’ Wednesday night on DISH Network on FOX? It was an electrifying performance. The queen of costume controversy has a gorgeous stage presence! It is something which the recent contestants lack badly. They are often all voice, no stage presence. It is something that they have to work on! Even mentors like Harry Connick Jr. cannot teach them stage presence.

Take the example of Aaron Kelly, the 17 year old boy who got eliminated on May 5 from ‘American Idol’ stage. He was told by the judges that he needed to fill the stage like Ol’ Blue Eyes. The same advice goes to all of the four remaining contestants on the DISH TV show as well.

When Ryan announced he was voted off, it seemed that the high school student was about to break into tears. But Big Mike gave him a bear hug and gave him a sweet little pep talk. Kelly pulled himself up after that and sang “Fly Me to the Moon” as his last performance.

It was a surprise that Casey James was named safe. He has given a lamentable performance on the performance night this week. Let’s just hope that he never ever comes on stage without his guitar.

Talking about performances, let us just discus Lady Gaga’s performance of ‘Alejandro.’ She sat behind the piano clad all in black and wore a veil on her head.. But when she stepped out from behind of the piano, it was Showtime!!! She wore lingerie and full body fishnet in black (I could not take my eyes off from the DISH TV screen… man! THAT is what stage presence is!!!).

If Lady Gaga was a scorcher on American Idol Tonight, Harry Connick Jr. played the role of a soother. He gave a memorable and respectable performance with his old school tunes just after Lady Gaga’s sharp performance and received a standing ovation from the audience. With his amazing performance as a mentor who dished out great advices while still managing to joke and talk to the contestants, making them feel comfortable. Not only did he talk about his wife and tell stories about his experience with Frank Sinatra but also he played instruments on stage with each of the top 5 contestants. Such a great mentor deserves a standing ovation. Don’t you feel the same way?

Finally the top 5 of ‘American Idol’ contestants are officially out! After the elimination episode of 28th April on Fox on DISH Network, people can heave a sigh of relief. Now it is going to be a tough competition from here. So who got voted out of ‘American Idol’ on 28th April?

Before discussing that, let us take a quick look at the performance night this week. On Tuesday night we experienced a great night with the remaining six contestants performing the songs from the song book of Shania Twain, the Canadian Queen of country music.

Some of the contestant performed it very well while the others failed to create a favorable impression. Here is a quick recap of the songs that each contestant chose for the performance:

“You’re Still The One” by Lee Dewyze was a memorable one.

“Don’t.” by Casey James didn’t go wrong either.

Crystal Bowersox sang “No One Needs To Know Right Now.” (We all know about your wedding with Tony Kusian, Crystal! So, there is no point in hiding. Congratulations!!!)

Michael Lynche sang “It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing.”

“I Love You Just The Way You Are” was the song by Aaron Kelly. (We love you too Aaron)

And Siobhan Magnus screamed (oh, sorry…did you say she actually sang?) “Any Man Of Mine.” (Simon compared the performance to giving birth!)

The ‘American Idol’ elimination night on 28th April on DISH TV began with a ford ad were all the contestants were dressed like vampires (first the scream and then vampires? I am telling you the show is going to be creepier by days!).

There was fear too! When the contestants were narrowed down to two groups everyone got scared, Crystal, Lee and Aaron were safe and the rest three were in the danger zone. It seemed at one point of time that we are going to say good bye to Casey James, but thankfully, no such thing happened!

Wednesday we also got to see a few great performances in the DISH Network show. The first band to perform was ‘Sons of Sylvia’. Do they look familiar to you? Well, they were once known as ‘The Clark Brothers’, and have won ‘The Next Great American Band’. They perform “Love Left to Lose”.

The next to come was Lady Antebellum with “Need You Now.” It was not one of their best performances I must say! But the audience loved it.

Then came the BIGGEST performance of the night! Rascal Flatts is back to duet with Shakira on “Gypsy”!!! Shakira? In a country theme? But she gave a jolly good performance with swinging hips it seemed like a country belly-dancing song. We loved it!

Shakira also gave some advice to the contestants – “Keep your eyes on the stars, but keep your feet on the ground.” We appreciate that, Shakira!

And finally I have to answer the question that remains important till the moment – Who got kicked out of the ‘American Idol’ on 28th April? Who could not make it to the top 5? – It’s our peculiar girl Siobhan Magnus (well, I gave you hint, didn’t I?). All the best for your future Siobhan! We will miss your scream… err …‘Power Voice’.

Next Tuesday, Harry Connick, Jr. will mentor the top 5 Idol Contestants for Frank Sinatra Week. Till then, ‘Let’s Face the Music and Dance’ because I believe, after Sinatra’s song “The Best is yet to Come”!!!

The Tuesdays sometimes become so hectic when you have to choose between your favorite shows on DISH Network. Of course you cannot wait to see who got eliminated from Dancing with the stars on April 27. But it is also not possible to give American Idol a miss as well.

On Tuesday, the elimination round of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ was surprisingly unsurprising. Jake Pavelka was a clear choice! Chad and Cheryl performed very well after receiving an encore from the judged. Melissa Etheridge gave a great performance with songs from her new CD, ‘Fearless Love’. It was a great episode and people enjoyed it to the fullest.

On Monday ‘Bachelor’ hunk Jake Pavelka stumbled a bit during his samba with dancing partner Chelsie Hightower at ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on ABC. This has lead to the lowest judges score of the night as well as the lowest score during the group dance. Tonight, ultimately he got a trip off the doors.

Pavelka, another reality TV “star” who grabbed the limelight mostly for looking cute on camera, sweated it out to become a performer. But his difficulties in grasping the dance moves finally put an end to his role on DWTS, one of television’s most-watched shows.

If you are a Pavelka fan, you must have felt bad when Pavelka choked up while saying goodbye and talked about his “family” on the show. So, did us! After all we do not get to see such a cutie dancing on DISH TV every other day! Goodbye Jake!!! Life (oops!) sorry, DWTS stage will never be the same without you!

In ‘American Idol’, Shania Twain night turned out to be a surprising delight. The remaining six claimants of ‘American Idol’ title this year gave their best performances till date on that evening while tackling the songs of the Canadian queen of country music.

Twain’s songbook gave the singers a chance to bring out their best on the DISH TV show. Michael Lynche’s ‘It only hurts When I’m Breathing’, to Lee Dewyze’s ‘You’re Still the One’ were some of the awesome performances on American Idol on Tuesday. Even some singers who have struggled earlier had good nights.
