President Obama Is To Appear On ‘The View’ On ABC

Did you hear that? The ladies from ‘The View‘ on ABC are making history! This is the first time any sitting U.S. President will appear on a daytime talk show! The President? Oh yes! On Thursday July 29, the DISH Network viewers will see President Barack Obama chatting with Whoopi, Elisabeth, Sherri, Joy and Barbara on ABC at 11 AM!!! Now that’s quite something!

The producers of ‘The View’ on ABC have announced that President Obama will film his interview on the show on Wednesday and the episode will air on Wednesday. This is a part of “Red, White & View” campaign of the satellite TV talk show ‘The View’. You can expect Obama to deal with topics like his administration’s successes, life at the White House, jobs, the economy and the Gulf oil spill – the biggest environmental concern these days.

The President’s appearance also brings Barbara Walters back to the program. She is an executive producer of the talk show who will appear in the show for the first time since she underwent a heart valve replacement surgery in May this year. She has announced that she will return to the satellite TV show full-time in September. That’s great!

Prior to this visit, Obama has appeared on “The View” in March 2008 before he was elected, and his wife, Michelle, appeared a guest co-host in the satellite TV show three months later.

Barbara Walters has said in a statement, “We are so pleased and honored that President Obama will be a guest on ‘The View.’ This shows that both the President and First Lady feel that our show is an influential and important source of information and news.”

Reality Series ‘Plain Jane’ Premiering Tonight on CW

Mix some fun from ‘The Bachelorette’ with ‘Supernanny’ and add a dash of ‘What Not to Wear’ and hey, you get ‘Plain Jane’! That’s Crazy! You must be thinking – these shows are anything but plain! Let me tell you that ‘Plain Jane’ is not just another show on DISH Network; it is the new summer reality show that turns a plain Jane into cuties and hotties. This new summer show is premiering tonight on DISH Network on CW at 9 PM. Do not miss it!

Have you ever thought of getting a complete makeover that will not only change your looks but also bring a whole new ‘You’ to the forth! Well, that is what ‘Plain Jane’ is all about! On each of the episode of the new satellite TV reality show on CW, a new ‘Jane’ will try to change for a lifetime with the help of host Louise Roe the British fashion expert. Roe is one of those bubbly gals who carefully listen to the tales of woe from young women who desperately need some fashion tips, a new hairdo, and most importantly, dating tips. Hey, count me in!

On different episodes each Plain Jane will receive a head-to-toe transformation of looks, including new wardrobe and an array of confidence building exercises. Once the makeover is complete, the formerly Plain Jane will surprise her crush with the new look and reveal her true feelings for him. And after that, there may or may not be a romantic twist!

And do not forget some fun element- “the Zapper.” In the date training area the “Janes” interact with men while wearing a collar strapped to their ankles which electrocutes them lightly when the gals go back to their shy selves…”It’s just a gentle reminder to remember what the rules are,” said Roe, laughing.

But what is her idea about the show? Roe said “This show is really about the inside and how these girls gain confidence and understand themselves better. I told them, I’m not changing you, I’m just taking who you are and tweaking it a little bit.” That’s quite good!

In the premiere episode of the satellite TV show Cristen, a shy 24-year-old in plain clothes and “one of the guys” personality that keeps her from telling her guy best friend that she has fallen for him … Awwwwwwwww …

The CMT-branded franchise offers you four, hour long episodes of the popular monthly CMT series “Invitation Only.” This series is available to all DISH Network subscribers with an exclusive premiere window. The second season of ‘CMT Front Row Only on DISH Network’ kick started on Sunday, July 25. The satellite TV series ‘CMT Front Row Only on DISH Network’ will feature CMT Music Award winner Miranda Lambert.
