So many games, so many satellite TV channels… Don’t you find it difficult to keep track of what channel the game which you want to watch is airing on? Events like baseball, basketball and hockey local games get picked up on occasion by national channels on DISH Network such as ESPN, ESPN2, VERSUS, TNT, ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX – moving the matches from their normal slot of regional channels. No wonder you feel mad when your favorite matches move from their assigned channels and you got to know about that only at the last moment. With DISH Network, you still have a hope of getting the game back quickly!

DISH Network offers the viewers a clever tool called “Where’s My Game”. This tool helps you narrow down the search for the sports games from across the nation to the games that are available in your area. It also assists you in finding the satellite TV channel which will show your game without the blackout restrictions in case of blackout of the game in a particular channel. So if you find your game channel is blacked out you can take help of this tool to find out whether it is being broadcast on another channel.
Take a quick look at the steps you need to follow in order to find out your favorite sport on DISH Network.
Step 1
Enter your ZIP Code and click on the “Where’s My Game” button to get a full listing of the games available in your area. If you can’t see the game you are searching for in the list then you should proceed to Step 2.

Step 2
Narrow down your results by selecting the specific category. For that you need to click on the tab the sports event you are searching for fits in.
Click on the Channel or Date/Time heading to sort the information so it becomes easier to find the game. If you still do not see the game you are searching for proceed to Step 3.
Step 3
Enter the name of the sports team or of the event which you are looking for. You need to be creative with your search terms.
For example: Florida State Seminoles can be listed as – Florida State Seminoles, Florida State, Seminoles, Florida St. Seminoles or Florida St. For best results you would have searched Florida, or Seminoles.
Step 4
If you cannot see the game you are looking for, check under the Other category as it might be labeled differently. If you can’t find the game still, try searching with a different word to locate your team (refer to the example above).
The results of the search indicate games which will not be blacked out for the ZIP code you have entered.
General Blackout Details
A sports event can be blacked out when a broadcaster buys the rights to the event, so, no other broadcasters can show the event. There are both national blackouts as well as regional blackouts:
National blackouts take place when a local channel on DISH Network, or a regional sports network, buys the rights to the match. In those cases, the event is not available to any channel outside the region.
Regional market blackouts take place when a national satellite TV channel like ESPN, ESPN2, CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC, TNT, etc., buys the rights of the event. In that case, the match will not be available to any regional channel unless a regional channel buys the rights to the event.
“Where’s My Game” is a unique feature that you can get only with DISH Network. Do not have DISH Network? Call US Now @ 1-888-209-8226!!!
