DISH Network Becomes #1 in Customer Satisfaction

DISH Network has added another feather on its crown. The fastest growing satellite TV provider in the United States has once again taken the pioneering position in the satellite TV and cable TV industry in customer satisfaction according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) rating.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index refers to a national economic indicator based on customer evaluations of the products quality and services that are available to domestic consumers in the United States.

In the survey for ACSI rating this year, DISH Network has scored a 71 for customer satisfaction. This is a considerable seven-point increase from 2009 ACSI rating of the company. The rating is also way above the 2010 industry average of pay TV – which is just 66.

DISH Network has also scored three points higher than DirecTV. As for the cable TV industry, DISH Network scored 4 points higher than Cox, 10 points higher than both Comcast and Time Warner. It also scored 11 points higher than Charter.

Apart from receiving the highest scores for customer satisfaction in the satellite and cable industry, DISH Network has also secured the highest place among satellite and cable providers in perceived value and customer loyalty. DISH Network also received the minimum complaints in the entire industry for a consecutive second year. The satellite TV provider has also advanced in areas of customer expectations and apparent quality. Here too, the company scores over the industry average.

    Amazing, I can't wait to dump Dish. We are always losing the signal which especially important in Tornado alley. Very small on-demand selection. I didn't get the equipment I asked for and then they charged for buying the receiver. I got a refund after a few hours on the phone.
    The CSR's are very good, so I am guessing this is how they got the rating.
    I also don't like the fact that changes may require another 2 year contract. I am ready to buy my contract out.
    Overall a good picture and cost I guess is lower than competition, but when you lose your signal and there is a big storm…well not worth it to me.
