DISH Network, the pioneer in satellite TV entertainment has effectively launched its newest satellite EchoStar XIV on March 21st from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The launch is aimed to boost HD channel offerings of the company in the United States. The satellite TV Company at present is offering over 160 HD channels which is claimed to be the most in the industry. The company is hopeful that the satellite launch will empower them to provide over 200 high definition channels. With this new satellite launch the total in orbit satellite count of DISH Network is coming to 15, which according to the company, is the largest in the industry.

According to Tom Cullen who is the executive vice president of Sales, Marketing and Programming for DISH Network, the company will carry on with the launch of new satellites to remain at the numero uno position of multi-channel video programming. He has also added that the company is looking forward to extend their HD line up to well over 200 channels.
