Guess what!!! There’s good news for all the movie buffs. Epix HD channel is coming on DISH Network. Yes, that’s true. Now you can watch some of the latest movies from three major Hollywood studios. Once Epix is available with DISH Network, it will surely be one of your channels of choice.

DISH Network subscribers will have this available to them when Epix becomes one of their channel choices this month. DISH TV will offer Epix Premium HD this month to all the subscribers who add its platinum HD pack to their current HD package for just $10 a month.

Epix has signed a distribution deal with DISH Network on Monday and will offer its movie and other content to over 14 million subscribers of DISH Network.

Epix offers new movies and as many as 15,000 films from three studios – Paramount Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. and Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. They will also offer original programming as well as special comedy and concert events offered in HD and SD formats.

Apart from films from the three major studios, Epix will carry up to 22 films from the independent distributor named Roadside Attractions and up to 20 of films by Samuel Goldwyn that are ready for theatrical release in 2010 and the next year.

Apart from Epix HD, DISH Network is also planning to launch a good number of satellite TV HD channels as a part of its HD expansion plan. The satellite TV provider has launched a satellite named Echostar XIV that will help the company to provide over 200 HD channels and the company is trying hard to meet its promise.

The new channels that are going to be launched include -

• Headline News HD (Channel 220)
• G4 HD (Channel 191)
• Style HD (Channel 115)
• Nat Geo Wild HD (Channel 190)
• History International HD (Channel 120)
• ShortsHD (Channel 375)
• Turner Classic Movies HD (Channel 132)

So get ready to enjoy a plethora of great satellite TV movies and HD programming and make every night an exciting HD entertainment night.
