David Letterman to Appear on ‘The View’

David Letterman has been  the interviewer on TV for approximately 30 years, but he has rarely gone on the opposite side  of the table to be the interviewee. However, on September 7, he is  going  to make his first-ever appearance on ABC‘s ‘The View‘  a popular  talk show on  DISH Network. David Letterman Being Interviewed!!!? Oh yeah,  you read that write. I know  it’s a rare sight on satellite TV!

September 7 also happens to be the first air-date of the satellite TV show’s first episode of the 14th season. That is  also  the day when ‘The View‘ co-host Barbara Walters is scheduled to comeback on the  show after recovering from a heart surgery. Walters, 80, has undergone valve replacement surgery in the month of May. She surprised her co-hosts by announcing that she was going to have the procedure on the show. She has appeared on the satellite TV show from her apartment on July to announce  her recovery. However in the previous season of the satellite  TV talk show she did appear once when President Obama appeared on ‘The View’ and  it marked the first time for any sitting U.S. President to appear on a daytime talk show!!!

Letterman, the popular host of ‘The Late Show‘ on CBS, is infamously shy, and due to that reason he is not a frequent guest on different talk shows. However, he has appeared on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show‘ as well as ‘Live with Regis and Kelly.’ Earlier the year, in an interview with Regis and Kelly,Letterman momentarily said that he had never appeared on ‘The View‘ and has also explained his usual detest for the show business people. So it is going to be a great and a rare sight on TV.
