DISH Network Launches The Weather Cast

DISH Network, the fastest-growing satellite TV provider in the United States, has introduced The Weather Cast. The Weather Cast is a new round the clock weather service. The weather service is featuring live 24/7 weather reporting. Apart from that, the satellite TV channel will also feature interactive forecasting as well as concurrent national storm tracking.

With The Weather Cast, DISH Network has become the first and only TV provider that is offering a national “all weather, all the time” service to its subscribers. The Weather Cast will be featured in place of The Weather Channel – a once popular satellite TV channel. The channel has recently got deviated from their weather reporting role and concentrated more on offering movies as well as entertainment-focused programming.

In contrast to The Weather Channel, the brand new Weather Cast devotes 100% of its program to weather reporting. The Weather Cast offers no movies, wake-up shows or stories about storms in their programming schedule. What’s more? Since its program schedule is based on forecasting, The Weather Cast has more time to concentrate more on local weather. This was something which The Weather Channel was not able to provide to the satellite TV customers.

Dave Shull, senior vice president of Programming, said “Our customers always tell us that the only thing they want in a weather channel is weather reporting.” He also added, “We believe The Weather Cast is the best available weather service in America.

The channel is sure to prove to be beneficial to the serious weather watchers who want to stay updated about the weather news.
