Are you a fan of the popular satellite TV comedy series ‘The Office’? Well, there is a surprise for you. A new star is added to the list of the iconic DISH TV comedy show. She is Amy Pietz. Amy has been offered a prominent role (Michael Scott’s girlfriend) by the bosses of the show. The popular show started airing on the small screen in 2005. ‘The Office’ is an American comedy satellite TV series that is aired by NBC. The series is an adaptation of the popular BBC series ‘The Office’.

Amy Pietz is best known as ‘Annie Spadaro’ – the role which she played in the NBC sitcom ‘Caroline in the City’. The actress had also been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award for the role in 1999. According to the sources, Amy has signed for several episodes in the TV series.

This comes as a great news for the ‘The Office’ fans who are clueless about whether, Steve Carell is going to leave the show or not. As per the last updates, Steve’s contract with the show ends in 2010-2011 season. He has told in a BBC radio interview that he does not wish to renew the contract. If he does not change his decision, this season of ‘The Office’ will be the last season for him.

Steve Carell played played the Scranton branch leader, Michael Scott for past six season. It is now virtually impossible to think of the show without him. It looks like Jim may once again become Dunder Mifflin’s manager whether he likes it or not. But we certainly do not like it!
