As decided, The American Idol top 12 performed on the first themed episode of the ninth season of the American Idol. The theme of the episode was the songs of the greatest rock band of all times – the Rolling Stones. Though the top 12 this year seemed lackluster and everyone feared that the budding singing talents of America will not be able to give a great performance, the team did well in the performance. Though there were some disappointments from some contestants but there were some others who gave an excellent performance.

It seems that with the top 12 contestants on the board, American Idol Season 9 is finally coming alive. The music reality show will be aired on Fox Television channel on DISH Network.

In the last episode of the American Idol season 9, we saw a number of notable performances that were highly acclaimed by the judges. Some of these performances were respectable while the others were quite stirring. Siobhan Magnus’ dramatic performance of “Paint it Black” made Simon Cowell and other judges cheer and Randy Jackson told the unusual singer that she is ‘bringing the drama to ‘American Idol’ season nine.’ the audience too loved the performance thoroughly. Another notable performance was given by Aaron Kelly who gave heartfelt take on “Angie.”With the performances Crystal Bowersox and Siobhan Magnus appear on top while other musical talents like Didi Benami and Casey James also get praise from the judges.
