The Best Original Song Award went to Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett. This award was presented by Amanda Seyfried and Miley Cyrus (Of Hannah Montana fame). Best Original Scoreaward went to Michael Giacchino for the movie Up.
Screenplay
The Best Original Screenplay Award went to Mark Boal for The Hurt Locker while the Best Adapted Screenplay was won by Geoffrey Fletcher for Precious.
Art Direction, Visual Effect and Cinematography
The Best Outstanding Art Direction award is won by Robert Strombert, Rick Carter, Kim Sinclair for the 3D animation movie Avatar. Outstanding Visual Effects goes to Avatar. On the other hand Mauro Fiore won the Best Cinematography for Avatar.
Editing, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing
Best Sound Mixing Award is won by Ray Becket and Paul N.J. Ottosson for Hurt Locker. Paul N.J. Ottosson has also won the Best Sound Editing award for the Hurt Locker. The Hurt Locker also bagged the Best Film Editing award.
Animation, Documentaries, Foreign Language Movie
In the film section UP earned the Best Animated Featured Film award this year. the award was presented by Cameron Diaz and Steve Carell. The Best Animated Short Film award was given to Logorama directed by Nicolas Schmerkin. Best Documentary Feature that goes to The Cove. El Secreto de Sus Ojos won the Best Foreign Language Movie.
Make up and Costume
In the costume and make up section Star Trek has won the Oscar statuette for best make up. The Best Costume Design Award went to Sandy Powell for Young Victoria. Sandy Powell has won in this category for The Aviator in 2005.
To present the best Make Up award Ben Stiller came out on state in an Avatar consume and make up. The entire audience was thoroughly amused by the event. This was one of the most enjoyable moments of the 82nd Academy Awards that took place in the Kodak Theatre.

Best Actor in a Leading Role
Jeff Bridges bagged the golden statuette as the Best Actor in Leading Role for Crazy Hearts. The award was announced by Kate Winslet who was looking a real showstopper with poise and elegance.

Best Actress in a Leading Role
The Best Actress in a Leading Role went to Sandra Bullock for the movie The Blind Side. Interestingly that for the same performance she has also won the Golden Rasspberry Award or the Razzies for the worst performance of the year and went personally to collect it.

Best Supporting Actor and Actress
Cristoph Waltz has won the Best Supporting Actor for Inglorious Bastards. Penelope Cruz announced the winner in this category. Award for the Best Actress in Supporting Role went to Monique for Precious.
Best Director
Kathryn Bigelow has won the best director award for The Hurt Locker. She is the first felame director to receive this prestigious award. with the best director title she has scored over James Cameron ( nominated for Best Director for Avatar), her ex-husband.

It is a remarkable feet for the women directors of the world and coincidentally this honor has come to them on the eve of the centenary of International Women’s Day.
Best Motion Picture
The Hurt Locker also bagged The Oscar for Best Motion Picture of the year 2010! With this The Hurt Locker has won 6 Academy Awards this year out of its nomination in nine categories, followed by Avatar with 3 Oscars.
Oscar Tributes
On its 82nd Awards night Oscar paid tribute to the famous American director, producer and writer John Hughes. It is a rare and special tribute to the works of the eminent director who has made many movies including Home Alone, Plane and Sixteen Candies. He has revolutionized the youth film genre with his marvelous works.

This year Oscar also paid tribute to horror films. The tribute was presented by Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart. Prior to that Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin the hosts of the prestigious event did a horror parody.
This event was showcased on Dish Network on ABC. You can also watch the program highlights on Dish Network Video on Demand and Pay-per-View programming.
